Italian media outlet La Roma 24 is reporting that Seydou Doumbia’s agent has responded to comments that the striker could be set for a possible move to Leicester City this summer.
Doumbia joined Newcastle United during the January transfer window on a loan deal from Roma until the end of the season with view to permanent move.
But it appears increasingly unlikely that the striker will get the permanent deal at St James Park, after only getting on the pitch for a total of 29 minutes during his time at the club so far.
Speaking about Doumbia’s future and the Leicester rumours his agent Jean Bernard Beytrison said “I don’t know. Let’s see. I’ve still not been contacted by the club.”
He added: “Next week I will go to Switzerland and we will analyse the situation to figure out what we want to do.”
The Leicester fans in The Tavern do not think signing Doumbia would be a good move for the club and feel there are better options available to the club at this time!
Our landlord feels that Doumbia is a lethal striker on his day, but simply isn’t consistent enough, so thinks a move to Leicester City would be a bad move all round!
